calendar item colors - how to make full field?

I set the color for my calendar 2, which is Holidays, but that color only shows in a little box to the right of the text...
I'd prefer it actually filled the entire data field for that assignment, but I don't see any related option in Options...
Am I just blind, or is that a Pro-only feature?? or is it just not an option?

You can find the setting here: Tools -> Options -> Calendars -> Display categories as...

It's a bit odd, though...
In Display categories as:, I had "filled in background" selected, but was getting the color box...
When I changed the selection to "Color boxes", I now get the filled-in background that I wanted...

So that option appears to be backwards...

Please note, this option applies to categories. When you change it to "colored boxes", the categories will be displayed accordingly, and calendar colors will be filled in for events.
