Add a "beep" when a search is not found.

Post by VictorParkerPIM »

I'm doing a search in the upper right search field in Notes, when I type a character that the search does not find,
all of the characters in the search field turn red.
I don't always look at the search field while I'm typing, please have a "beep" when the characters turn red.
Sometimes I have typed a couple of words after the search was not found.

+1

I think this should be a feature in every module of EPIM that has any type of search entry field.

At the danger of making this too complicated such that it deters implementation, I would suggest the following for consideration, in the Options menu:

1. Turn the beep on or off (globally). There may be times and users who don't want it.

2. Have the ability to select a standard beep sound in Windows, or maybe upload a sound file for the purpose. For some, if could be a "fun" sound!

Maybe experiment with this concept in the current Beta if it is not too complicated to implement?

good idea.
by try to test search in actual stable i noticed you cant use search in epimtoday or change toolbar by right click!
but good idea.
some may want to set and/or window prompt if no results, like you get feedback from system by errors.
some, like me.
