Turning off email sync

Post by awilsmore »

I am using EPIM 12.0.4

I no longer wish to have EPIM sync with my Gmail account.

I cannot see how to disable/turn off mail sync.

Is that an IMAP or POP3 email account?

I do not know.

I purchased EPIM Pro a couple of years ago, and did a little work setting it up. For various reasons, I moved away from EPIM, but would like to return to it. How I set up email, I cannot recall.

Is there some screen where Email is set up? I cannot see it.

I have looked online; so many entries point to menu options that are not there.

Examples:

https://www.essentialpim.com/help/index ... ttings.htm
"Account settings are available from Tools -> Account Settings menu."
I see no such entry

https://www.essentialpim.com/help/index ... ccount.htm
"A mail account can be added under File -> New -> Mail Account..."
I see no such entry
"... or in the Mail module under Tools -> Account Settings -> Add"
I see no such entry

Given the absence of a reply, I have deleted EPIM Pro and all traces thereof, and reinstalled without mail sync.

awilsmore,

Your first request - Turn off email sync

From within the email module, click "Tools", "Manage Accounts". Choose the account on which you want to end sync, then click "Edit" on the right side. Choose the "Advanced" tab, and uncheck "Include this account when receiving mail". Now it will never check for email.

The above also seems to cover your second request: FROM WITHIN THE EMAIL MODULE, "Tools", "Manage Accounts" gets you where you can change any and all account settings.

I hope this helps,

Bill L
