Attachments disappeared from tasks - 11.6.6

Post by kareyde »

The filenames are still there, but when I try to open the file I get an error message. The file size is specified as 0 bytes in EPIM. When I save the file, a 0 byte file is created with the name of the attachment. All files, no matter what file type, now have a file size of only 0 byte. The task module is full of errors according to the forum, probably the last conversion of the database in the context of an update was faulty - again data loss. For newly created tasks, the files are appended correctly.

You can open up the backup file that was created upon updating to EPIM 11.6 and check if the attachments are there. It's worth noting that the 11.6 version has been released more than 2 months ago, and we haven't encountered any widespread issues regarding missing attachments.

I found an older backup of the database, so I was able to restore most of the tasks (attachments). How and when the attachments were lost, I can no longer trace, due to the many errors of EPIM lately. In this context, some new versions of EPIM were sent to me. Since the errors occurred in different modules and of course during synchronization, I can't clarify when the attachments were lost. Fortunately, in addition to the backup, I always make backups of the database at particularly problematic times due to the recurring errors in EPIM.
