11.6 Past Tasks Red
Hello,
I have already searched several times in the settings, but have not found anything. If I have tasks that are in the past or today in the past, they are displayed in red.
Is there a way to deactivate this or to make the font black?
My settings:
List view
Group by start
-> Detailed
Thanks.

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
The red color for overdue tasks is intentional and by design. Currently, there is no option to change it, as it is meant to visually highlight overdue tasks status.

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
The problem is, as soon as I set the task to 100% done, it falls out of the grouping and is displayed under "done", which in this case eliminates my whole display.
Can't an option be created, similar to the "cross out when done" in which one can determine whether it is coloured or only black?

I'm not 100% sure how completing a task could be related to the overdue type of tasks?

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
Hello,
I would like to bring up this topic again.
The issue is that I use the tasks as time recording. This means that I have x tasks per day that I have done.
Now the tasks are completed for the day, but when I set it to completed, the tasks move to the ‘completed’ group, although the view is grouped to start.
The easiest workaround would be to set the red to a different colour when overdue. It would therefore be great if you could adjust the colour.
Greetings

Please review my question posted above your most recent response. Unfortunately, we are still struggling to grasp the context of the request.

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
I do not set the task itself as completed, as otherwise it would slide into the ‘completed’ area and I would no longer have a proper grouping. That's actually the problem.
My selected view: Group by -> By start -> Detailed
The red colour is correct in itself, as the task is overdue. The colour would be a workaround, as it is very irritating when everything is red... see my screenshot.
Maybe @DG can say something about it?

Understood, thanks for the explanation. We will keep the suggestion in mind, although we cannot promise the immediate implementation of the feature due to the current low demand from users.

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
Like @daho2018, I use Tasks to track my time daily and set my view for tasks to Group by -> By start -> Detailed. I also use the option to hide completed tasks.
When I set a task to Completed, EPIM moves it to the Completed list and the task drops from that day's items. To count that task in my work for the day, I cannot set completion to 100%. And, because EPIM considers the task incomplete, it flags the item as past due with the red font. So, tasks that are past due or completed all look the same.
We're looking for a way to retain tasks in a given day when they are complete and to make the incomplete tasks stand out visually.
I think this means reconfiguring the detailed view to include completed items and to reserve the red font for tasks where completion is not 100% and the time is past.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
DG

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
I believe we could introduce two different options to address the request:
1. Allowing users to choose which color to use for overdue tasks (or set to use no color at all).
2. Allowing users to choose whether to use the dedicated "Completed" group for the completed tasks.
What are your thoughts on this?

Both options sound good to me!admin wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 12:45 pm I believe we could introduce two different options to address the request:

Re: 11.6 Past Tasks Red
+1. May be you can also introduce "Do not create a completed copy of the task on recurring" option
