Notes: Number sequence interpreted as phone number

Post by DoctorBrown »

In the Notes module on Android, I'm finding that a series of numbers appears to be interpreted as a phone number and a link is automatically generated in the note. I have not found any way to suppress this. In my research, I find that this behavior has been around for at least 2018! It seems that the algorithm to parse a phone number needs a bunch of work. At this time I haven't noticed if this behavior is occurring in other modules.

Is there anything that can be done to suppress this? Here is a screenshot from my Android phone.

You can click on Menu->Settings and disable the "Auto-conversion of text to link" option.
Android version of EssentialPIM. Keep all your data in sync!
