Creating related items more effectively/more flexible

Post by kdgdr »

Hi,

Please consider implementing (either/or):

a "paste as related item" right-click feature to create related items more effectively and more flexible
Example:
  • Copy or Copy as Link some selected contacts and "paste as related item" them on a task: Contacts become related items of the task as if they were added manually on the "related items tab > contacts" of the task
  • Copy or Copy as Link some selected tasks and "paste as related item" them on task A: tasks become related items of task A as if they were added manually on the "related items tab > tasks" of task A
  • etc. ...
NOTE: Ideally it would be possible to copy/paste as related item a variety of items in one go: for example select some appointments and tasks simultaneaously from a calendar view and paste them as related items on another task in one go.
If the above is not possible, maybe a right click feature "Paste as related item" is possible in the "related items" tab of the target item?

a drag and drop feature (maybe ALT+DRAG+DROP?) to create related items more effectively and more flexible.
Example:
  • ALT+DRAG+DROP a contact on a task: Contact becomes a related item of the task as if it was added manually on the "related items tab > contacts" of the task
  • ALT+DRAG+DROP taks B on task A: task B becomes a related item of task A as if it was added manually on the "related items tab > tasks" of task A
  • etc. ...
IMHO the top suggestion would be the most effective.

Thanks in advance for considering!

1. This is already implemented. If you paste a copied item into subject or notes field, link to it will automatically be shown in related items.
2. This one is noted, thanks!
