[BUG] Options, Security, Automatically lock x Minutes
EssentialPIM 11.5 Desktop, Windows 10
EssentialPIM requests Masterpassword even though Lock-Time has not been reached.
Requirements::
* Options, Security:
- Automatically lock after: 30 Minutes
- Checkmark *only* Passwords
- Do *not* checkmark anything in "Autolock when minimize"
BUG 1:
* Switch to module Passwords
* Minimize EssentialPIM
* Wait 30 minutes
* Restore EssentialPIM
Dialog requests masterpassword
* Enter password
EssentialPIM opens with module Passwords
* Immediately minimize EssentialPIM
* Immediately restore EssentialPIM
Excpeced Behaviour:
EssentialPIM opens with module Passwords, as 30 Minutes have not elapsed yet
Actual Behaviour:
Dialog requests masterpassword
From now on this happens always when minimizing/restoring while in module Passwords - unless having followed through with Bug 2:
BUG 2:
* Switch to module Passwords
* Minimize EssentialPIM
* Wait 30 minutes
* Restore EssentialPIM
Dialog requests Masterpassword
* Enter password
EssentialPIM opens with module Passwords
* Switch to any other module
* Immediately switch back to module Passwords
Excpeced Behaviour:
EssentialPIM opens Module Passwords, as 30 Minutes have not elapsed yet
Actual Behaviour:
Dialog requests masterpassword
But this happens only once. After entering the masterpassword, for the next 30 Minutes one can switch between the modules and back to Passwords at will without being asked for the masterpassword again. Also one can minimize/restore while in module Passwords without being asked for the masterpassword again.
*** Conclusion:
So to achieve the actually desired behaviour to have module Passwords unlocked for 30 Minutes one needs to:
* restore EssentialPIM in module Passwords
* enter masterpassword
* switch to another Module
* switch back to module Passwords
* enter masterpassword again
EssentialPIM requests Masterpassword even though Lock-Time has not been reached.

Re: [BUG] Options, Security, Automatically lock x Minutes
Thanks for the report. I see another problem here. EPIM shouldn't be asking you for a password if you simply minimize it while the Passwords module is active. It should only ask you for a password (once - we will fix that) when you switch to another module and then return to Passwords after the pre-defined period of time. So, will correct all the issues discovered. Thanks again.

Thanks for the response!
However, I think that restoring (from being minimized) when the Passwords module is active and the lock time has elapsed should, in fact, require the masterpassword - logically it is the same as "you switch to another module and then return to Passwords".

You know, maybe you're right regarding the locking up mechanism working the same way when minimizing as if we were switching to another module. We will give this a second thought. Thanks.
