Message in Tools/Options/Synchronisation seems odd

Post by poet-man »

Hi there,

nothing really serious ... just as info.

Having a look into Tools/Options/Synchronisation, to see what the options for direct sync look like, without changing anything, click on OK, brings up the message, that changes will be applied after restart only.

So this message is irritating.
Even more, when, before click on ok, going to another options section (say: backup), doing a backup there, then click on ok there, the message comes up as well.

In my opinion, the message is needed only, if there really were changes.

Thanks

Changing something in Tools/Options/Synchronisation (v11.5 beta2) doesnot display any message anymore, when leaving options.
No message at all!

Sorry, I'm not quite getting that. What kind of message would you expect to see?

Until yesterday, everytime you change setting of syncentries a popup came to inform, that changes only take place after restarting EPIM.
Now this message is gone and you don't know which behaviour EPIM will have on next syncing...

There will be no message displayed if a restart is not required.

Thanks ... this is an information, that explains things.

Please understand that it gets difficult for users, without any information.
One doesnot know whether behaviour of program is intended or not ... at least when it was different before.
