Epim - Outlook Sync

Post by Bareges25 »

Max,
Happy New Year to you and the Team.
Thanks for all the hard work and new version.
Just wondering if Outlook Sync has been updated to work with 11.2.1 as the version I downloaded over Christmas would n't work with 11.2

Regards

Bareges25, Admin Works for me now. I downloaded most current EssentialPIM pro 11.2.1. Also, most current EPIM Outlook sync 11.2. Ran twice on a test DB to see if any duplicates. Everything appeared to come over successful in this run. Previous test didn't bring anything over.
Thank You Max. Admin

Have downloaded and installed latest version but unfortunately it won't allow me to select my Pst file to sync with Epim database.
It remains locked into Outlook 365/Exchange server option and it seems that can't be changed.

Re: Epim - Outlook Sync

My primary Todo tracking on Microsoft is on the Microsoft Todo desktop app or the browser version. I don't use Outlook 64bit for my mail, but have it installed as I need it for work. For some reason, my Outlook installation is configured so the normal EPIM Microsoft Todo connection doesn't work. My normal routine is to monitor my Todo's as I said above. When I want to update EPIM I bring up my local Outlook app and wait for it to synchronize with the Online. I then run the EPIM outlook sync as defined in the attached image. It has worked in version 9 and prior. Initially it failed in the first versions of 11. In the latest update 11.2.1 of EPIM and EPIM-Outlook Sync 11.2 it is running successfully.
Hope this helps

Lee S,

Thank you for your helpful explanation will see if I can get Outlook 64Bit which is my primary email client at the moment to synchronise with Epim.
As for you the sync used to work perfectly for me pre Version 10 but doesn't seem happy with the later versions but will keep trying.
Thank you for your help.

Do you have Outlook installed? What will happen if you click on the dropdown list (which is currently empty) when the "Office 365" option selected? What will happen if you click on the radio button for the "Outlook PST file" option?

I do have outlook installed it is for now my main email client.
Nothing happens if I try to select the dropdown list it remains empty and doesn't dropdown and I can't change the option to Pst file.
I can search for my Epim database and reset that without problem it seems to be the Outlook side that is not responding.

What's your Outlook version? May I also ask you to record a small video demonstrating what happens when you try to choose the "Outlook PST file" option? Thanks!

Hope this attempt at a video works for you - haven't done it before.
It does show the no-response when I try to select the Pst file option.

My version of Outlook is 2021 - part of Office 2021 which I use.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help so far
