image size

Post by a8907433 »

I don´t know which version this started, I just noted it today, in V11.2: When I insert an image to a note, I first search for images, open it with Irfan View, optimize it, save it > insert it in EPIM.
Today, I noticed, that picturesize in IrfanView (100%) is not identical with picturesize in EPIM. I jumped to: Image/Properties/Size: 61%. But the zoomfactor in Notes is set to 100%. Shouldn´t a zoomfactor of 100% show a picture with size 100%?
This 61% for this one picture is exactly the size it fits on my screen when the note is NOT open in its extra-window. That is ok, I expect this behaviour. But, when I doubleklick and open the extra-window for the note, I expect the picture to extend to its real 100% size!
How to see all pictures in original (100%) size? Size% is different for each picture!

It seems to ba a bug in 11.2: Pictures added before, expand to 100% when opening extra window, pictures added today (just installed V11.2) will not expand to 100%

This isn't a bug, this is a feature if you have Word Wrapping (Ctrl+W) enabled.

I noticed some kind of (strange) connection with word wrapping. But, if I open a note to an extra window, and there is no text to wrap- why are pictures wraped to 61% of the imagesize (in this case), when this 61% picture not fills the window from the left to the right border? 100%, or perhaps 90% would exactly fit in the window, so why making it smaller?
For text it is reasonable to trim lines to windowssize, but why make images smaller than necessary?

Some of the users didn't like they needed to scroll to see the whole image, while having the "Word Wrapping" option enabled.

Very nice feature I like embedding full sized images into EPIM for archiving but prior to this is was a huge hassle now it's a drag and drop experience.

What could be causing the discrepancy in picture size between IrfanView and EPIM, particularly when the zoom factor in EPIM's Notes is set to 100%? How can I ensure that all pictures display at their original (100%) size in EPIM?
