EPIM reimports deleted Gmail emails

Help Please!
I go through and delete all the rubbish mail EPIM sync imported from GMAIL. Then it all comes in again! Everything I delete is reimported. Do I have to go to Gmail to delete? That seems cumbersome and defeats the purpose of a sync in my view.

I just want to get rid of the rubbish email once and for all.

Is than an IMAP type of mail account? If so, please forward us the log file, which can be found here: Tools->Options->Synchronization, Browse... and its filename should start with "Mail". Thanks!  ​
