I remember reading here that the we should not close the program until the message appears telling us that the sync was successful. My memory was this was the reason for the message.
1. Is that correct?
I experience a significant amount of time (maybe 10-15 seconds) between the last notice of activity and the appearance of that message. If I should wait until notification of successful completion, then a notice saying "We're finishing up, please wait" should appear and perhaps add to the Success notice, a You can exit now line, so it is clear we shouldn't close before.
Of course if my memory or interpretation is wrong, then the suggestion is wrong as well.

Check out the latest 6.0.2 version, it should be speedier in terms of direct AEPIM-WinEPIM sync. Thanks.

What's the upgrade trick? I'm in the beta program, but both devices have 6.0.1 and don't upgrade. Do I need to uninstall and then re-install?

Just wait a bit please till the new version becomes available for your device through the Google Play store.
