Spell check

Post by Haldex »

A major weakness for spelling correction is that the German dictionary does not take into account the specialities from Austria and Switzerland.

However, these "specialities" are important and cannot simply be ignored!

An excellent solution would be the one provided by https://languagetool.org/de. This would be a very good solution.

Basically, this tool runs on all pages of a web browser, as long as the add-on is installed. It would be a perfect thing for "German" to open the possibility to use this tool in EPIM as well.

All the more so that https://languagetool.org/de not only provides a simple spell checker, but also does a fantastic job of checking style.

I can only suggest that EPIM should seriously consider this possibility. Perhaps there is even a simple way to implement this.
