Glitch when Syncing "child" Notes to Android

Post by Dierk »

EPIM Pro 10.2.1, Win 10 - syncing with AEPIM (Pro) 5.8.7 (running on Samsung Note 9, Android v10)

1) Created a number of Notes (on Android), all related to "Subject 1"

2) Synced to EPIM Win (OK)

3) Created a Top Level Note ("Add to Root") on EPIM Win, and MOVED all the "Subject 1" Notes to become "Child Notes" of the new Root-level note.

4) Sync with AEPIM: The "Child Notes" shown in EPIM Win do NOT appear beneath the newly created Root-level note (as they do in EPIM Win), but rather remain as "siblings" (that is, also Root Level).

5) Repeated Sync operations do not alter the results. (Thought / hoped that Closing & Reopening EPIM - on both devices - would trigger duplicating the new EPIM Win Note structure.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Thanks -

Try to change something inside the notes you've moved. Will that trigger their structure update?

OK: Changed 2 Notes within EPIM Win: the first attempt seemed ineffective; however, after making a few Slight edits in the 2nd Note (on Win), both of these moved into the desired structure on AEPIM (post-sync).

Then Changed a THIRD Note within EPIM Win, and that also moved to its "correct" position following a Sync with AEPIM.

Not certain Why the first changed Note did not initially move, but clearly it AND 2 other changed (edited) Notes DID move, so that appears to be the Trick.

IN SUM: This is a "Solution," but it is not a very Elegant one, particularly in the conceivable case of wanting to Move a fairly large number of Notes for better organization.

Ideas?

This should work out of the box. If you now move/change positions for some of the notes, will that be reflected upon next sync?
