Thanks, your email is hosted with Microsoft. And you need to choose the IMAP4 (OAuth authentication) type when setting it up.

Thanks again for your response. Here is some more information. You are correct that mail is currently hosted with Microsoft. The club is currently transitioning its services from Microsoft to Google and all mail is being forwarded to Gmail. When all members are transitioned to Google the connection with Microsoft will be cancelled and email hosting will be with Google. At the moment I am downloading all my email from gmail into Thunderbird using POP. I do not want to use IMAP.
Here are the server settings that I currently use with Thunderbird:

Server Type: POP Mail Server
Server Name: pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: OAuth2

Outgoing
Server Name: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
User Name: dstreet@melbpc.org.au
Authentication Method: OAuth2
Connection Security: SSL/TLS

I have been trying to setup a new POP account in EPIM with the above settings but OAuth2 authentication does not come up as a choice.

I hope the above information is helpful.

Your domain's MX record is currently pointing to the MS servers. When it's changed to Google, you should be able to add your account as a POP3 one (using OAuth). What you can do now is to create an app specific password on Google and use it for setting up the POP3 account.

And, as I have posted in other accounts for several years, I cannot get logged into my gmial pop3 account. This too after today's update to V 11.0.2.

So, will this ever work?

What to do????

"User name and password not accepted."

I also notice that the most recent update of EPIM place the following in front of the email address for my gmail account:

What's up with this?

We have absolutely no idea what you mean. I even doubt that the OAuth type of authorization has something do to with what you're trying to say. Please describe the issue in as much details as possible.

I do not understand what you do not understand about my post.

I began asking what you were going to do about OAuth some time ago; you said nothing was needed.

Your latest update to EPIM states that you have provided fixes to EPIM that now allows EPIM to function using OAuth.

I tried to access my GMail account from EPIM and got the error messasge stated.

I then checked the GMail account in EPIM and discovered that the eamil UID for my GMail account had been altered with what I showed in the previous post prepended to the UID.

This was not there prior to the EPIM update.

So, what part of this do you not understand?

Curiously yours,

Gmail doesn't allow some password specific logins anymore. You need to re-add your account and use OAuth type of authorization for that.

The OAutn fix was about something completely else.
