Question re sharing calendar (and nothing else)

I don't know if this is possible: can the calendar be shared over a network, but the other sections -- notes, todo, contacts, etc -- be kept individual to each user?

I suspect that the answer is no, because the multi-user capacity seems to be achieved by allowing multiple users to access the same file, but I live in hope, of course. I guess that what I'm talking about is the ability to merge calendars, as Google can do with their calendar system. Can EPIM achieve anything like that?
