Appointment endlessly spawns new repeats

Post by randyrls »

Hello; I have a problem where a repeating appointment endlessly spawns copies of itself. I had two repeating entries in Calendar. both are called "Food Bank". I have both PC and Android ver of EPIM see below. The Android ver of EPIM just shows the same entries.
1st instance: 2nd Tuesday of Month and repeats every month with no end date.
2nd instance: 4th Thursday of the month and repeats every month with no end date.
I realized that there were 3 copies of the entry for 2nd instance. I tried to delete the duplicate entries and selected "Whole Series" This removed the entries for that day, but the duplicates re-appeared the next month.

I tried to clean up the duplicates, but it appears that every entry is a series in itself, Deleting it (and series) doesn't delete the series, just the entry for that day. There are hundreds of entries going out to 2035 (EGAD!) (516 entries) I tried to delete the duplicates, but that just makes the problem worse.

The Android EPIM shows the same entries.

I exported the entire Calendar as a CVS so I would look at it. I found the repeating entries there (see below). *IF* I erase the calendar database section (HOW?). remove the Lines from the exported CVS file and re-import the database. Would this fix the problem?
I of course made a backup copy of the entire EPIM database Folder.

PC Windows 7 64 bit Pro. EPIM Pro ver 8.53.1
Android Samsung s9+ EPIM Pro ver 5.6.2
Sync is two way.
