7.6: What has happened to sending tasks by email?

With this update one of my most used features when delegating tasks has dissappeared: I delegate a task, get no answer in time. Then I go to the task, send it as email (headline of task becomes subject of email, text of task goes into body of email) and ask the person whom I delegated to, who may answer citing my email. This workflow has disappeared now. That`s very bad, I need it back. Or a better workflow, but I can`t envision one. Thanks! Michael P. S. Can I downgrade to 7.54 from 7.6? I can`t work with EPIM at the moment as I`m used to.

Hello,

can you please post a couple of screenshots demonstrating the problem?
So far it is not clear what has "dissapeared"

I have the same issue.
EPIM 7.6 seems to have lost the ability to send tasks and calendar appointments by email.
Work flow:
1) Create a task or appointment
2) Right click on it to show contextual menu
3) Select "Send as Email"
4) Results in a blank email

This function does still work for Notes.

4) Results in a blank email
This is not quite correct. It seems like a blank email, but if you look to the attachements: Calendar.ics is attached, so the task or appointement is send as an .ics, which can be added to another calendar!

Ahh yes you are correct.
I can see the attachment now but I don't want to send emails with this format.
I prefer the details to be plain text in the email body.
I use this feature to send tasks and appointments to colleagues who don't use EPIM or any calendar software.
The plain text format worked perfectly for this.
I can live without the calendar "Send as Email" function but I use the Task "Send as Email" all the time.
My workflow is something like this:
1) I create a task in EPIM
2) I send that task to a colleague as an email
3) She completes the task as detailed in the email and replies to my email with the word Done in the subject and I mark the task as done.
I would really like this to continue to work.
She uses a MAC and doesn't want/need a full organizer program just to be able to receive tasks.
Is there not a setting to select the email format for sending items from these modules?

I fully agree to the problem description by mouli. Even when discussing complex tasks with people all using EPIM, the plain text format is needed, because only this way in emails we can cite certain text.
Why not using both formats, text in subject and in body of email (as up to EPIM 7.5x) plus attachment? Or make the attachment an option.

Awesome news.
Many thanks for hearing us.
Any idea of a release date for 7.6.1.
I saw a notice about a release candidate somewhere.....

There's no need for a release candidate version as this is going to be a minor update. Will do our best to release the new version in November or earlier in December.

I believe it's solved.
I did it, have Thunderbird as a default mail client, and it works as it should. Plain text in the email, and the attachment.

Yep, the feature has been implemented quite some time ago.
