I couldn't find any way to do this. I would like to be able to see the creation date/time and possibly the last modified date/time on each of my notes. I tried looking for it in v6.58 and v7.0 (Pro).
I know there is a way to arrange by Modified, but I don't know what date/times they are nor do I know if it is ascending or descending order or whatever.
One important reason for this request:
I want to use this as an electronic notebook for recording results and other IP related knowledge. When it comes to looking up information for patent filings and such, it is important to have a date/time associated with each entry and not just some text that I can type in (that would never hold up in court, a database time stamp might).
Since the underlying database must record this, (it is already able to sort by this!) I assume it is not too difficult to actually show these fields as an additional column of information in the Notes Tree view?
Even if this field could be shown via a right-click menu item on each note it would be better than nothing.
I currently do this with Lotus Notes which has many facilities to support this. The date/time of creation is shown in the note header and if I right-click to get the properties on each item, it will actually show which user created, who accessed it last, if it was just read or read/write, etc.
Show the Create or Modified Date/time on each Notes entry

Thank you, this feature is in the plans (so far by right-click)

Re: Show the Create or Modified Date/time on each Notes entry
Hi Guys,
editing Contact Notes seems a little more complicated in the new layout. Resizing the window is not poss.
I usually want to add an entry date but seeing the dialogue is a pain.
Two suggestions:
Scroll the note under the Edit Dialogue and have an auto Date add, for editing notes. Easy enough to delete the entry if not required.
I would like to see a visual distinction between Notes and rest of fields in Contact view.
It is also odd, the the Edit button is not active even when a contact if shown - but not picked in the list. Seems clumsy compared to old.
Cheers
Paul

Re: Show the Create or Modified Date/time on each Notes entry
+1 for this suggestion.
I would like to be able to see the created and last modified dates on all the individual notes. Not permanently, but as a note 'properties' , as I have written information into the notes, but then it would be good to see when that info was written.
Thanks, Shaun

Re: Show the Create or Modified Date/time on each Notes entry
+1 for this as well. The first line in every note I create or modify is either the date or the date/time stamp. I have to put that in manually, a constant nuisance - but it tells me the last time I updated a note, which can be invaluable. It would be great if I could look up a note 'properties' to find that information.Shaun wrote:+1 for this suggestion.

Hi Escaltz, there is a short cut key for bring up the date dialogue so you do not have to do a manual edit.
However it would be nicer if the men remained visible.
Cheers

Thanks, I have been using the Ctrl-Space short cut key for some time, it is helpful, but something automatic would be even more helpful.PaulMSmith wrote:Hi Escaltz, there is a short cut key for bring up the date dialogue so you do not have to do a manual edit.
