Little bug: internal link not copied with a record copied

Post by Trinitylab »

Hi,

For around 2 years I have been a happy user of 5.03, now we have bought life licenses for Net Pro, and I have discovered that when I copy a record (Contacts) with internal links (to EPIM objects) in its Notes, the new, copied record does not have them, just a text.
It used to work fine.

Best,
Piotr

What is missing?
EPIM version in the footnote, also system.
No need for screensaving, as the issue is clear: no links, just text.

Hello,

I do not see version number in footnotes. Please clearly say which version you are using and with which user you are logging in (in case of Network version)
Also, please list steps. It is not clear what menu exactly you are using "when I copy a record (Contacts) with internal links"

Thanks, Max.

1. 5.82 EPIM (the newest);
2. Contacts
3. Mark the record, which contains in its Notes links to another objects in EPIM, here: to (Big) Notes
4. Ctrl+C
5. Ctrl+V in the same group
6. There is a new record, but the links are gone, just clean text.

That should be fixed in EPIM 6.0 RC2, already released.

I repeated the sequence of steps you listed and can not reproduce it in RC2 on a new database. Please:
- make sure you are using RC2
- use a new database
- follow exactly your steps listed above, or give another sequence

Now is solved, that means 6.0 can see all the hyperlinks created in 5.82.
All of the rest (gone when upgrading 5.03 > 5.82) are for manual work.
