Lost my passwords in the Upgrade

Post by riclarke »

I upgraded to 5.8 and lost all my passwords that were listed. How do I get them back?

I resolved it. I downloaded a back up copy of my database from yesterday. However, just an FYI... when I updated to 5.8 and uploaded my database into 5.8.... I lost all my passwords... not good.

It is not clear. Did you open your backup copy in 5.8 and now the passwords were there? Or you opened it in the old 5.57?
DavWM, we need more information, as mentioned earlier.

When I originally opened my current database in the 5.8 version, my passwords were missing. However, when I opened my back up database in the upgraded 5.8, my passwords were still there. Please let me know if you need more information.

It is unlikely to happen. Most probably the database your originally opened in 5.8 also contained passwords, maybe just Password Groups were hidden.
