Hi,
after some reading on the subject, this is just for (my) reassurement: Am I not correct in assuming that the EssentialPIM-'server' is just a firebird-server on some machine (windows, linux, etc.) and that any synchronization with (Own- or whatever)Cloud, Android-, iOS-, or Windows Mobile devices has to be done via the Windows Desktop EssentialPIM Pro (which must be running)[1]?
------------------------
[1] I know, for synchronization with Palm devices, the machine with EssentialPIM Pro on it must be running, but not EssentialPIM itself.

Yes, you are correct with your assumption. And yes, Palm is the only exception that does not require EPIM running.

Hmmm. This severely limits the sync features of the entire solution.
Is direct sync of a mobile device via a remote server a planned feature? If so: When will it most likely be implemented (I am not talking of exact datte here but of a general outlook: years, months, never?)

Yes, it is a planned feature, but we are looking into several months at least.

Max, nearly three years now. What about it now?
Still nothing for 7?
Hmmm ...
This should definitely have far more priority.

Hello,
yes, looks like it did not draw a lot of attention from other users, so we had to deprioritize this feature.
