How to open test.epim (from Epim 5.03) ??

I'm trying to import my test.epim program from Windows 7/64bit (Epim V5.03) into the Android version of Epim. I copied the file to "SD Card\documents", which seemed like a logical place to start, but AEpim does not appear to see it. I also don't see any "open file" option in AEpim. How do I do this?

I tried wireless sync, but though my phone logged onto my wireless network successfully, AEpim does not seem to be able to find the version that is running on my Windows machine. not sure what I need to do to solve this problem...

You cannot work with EPIM files directly on Android (there's just awful lot of constraints as to why it cannot to implemented).

If the app is unable to detect your PC automatically, please click on the Menu button while being in the PC Sync module and choose Connect manually.

Okay, I disabled the firewall on my computer, then gave AEpim my computer's IP address (192.168.1.101), and after thinking for awhile, it failed with "unable to connect, please check your firewall". Is there anything else I'm missing??

Is your device connected to the same network as your PC? If not, you should set up port forwarding in your router config so that all requests to 21114 port (the default one) are forwarded to your computer's IP address.

Nay, all devices are on the LAN side of the same router.

I'm using Windows firewall, and TinyWall utility to control it. As I noted above, I completely disabled the firewall, but EPim cannot location a connection.

Later notes: your PC Sync shows "connected to WiFi network", and shows my network SSIP. However, My PC does not show the phone (though I can ping the phone from my PC), and you apparently cannot see my PC.

Please check settings of your router. It should allow muticast packets through (normally this feature is turned on by default for the vast majority of routers). This way your phone should at least see your PC. Thanks.

Gorlash, check out the thread "One sync issue resolved". Sounds like you may have the same problem I have. Found a workaround, sort of.
