Export to ics file

Post by ehk »

When looking at the exported calendar entries in the form of a structured text file, I notice that in the summary and description fields the character "\" as well as line feeds are inserted multiple times within one field. How can this be suppressed in order to get the original text - without any modifications/ inserted characters - in the export file?

It can be right and it can be wrong, depending on your original data. RFC 2445 requires to use escape characters in some cases.
Please post a sample of original data and a sample of ICS export of same data.

That's according to the RFC specs. If you import the file back, there should not be backslashes. Thanks.
