Re: EPIM - Dark Theme
Hi,
is there any way to activate the dark screen when composing and/or reading HTML/Rich Text Emails? This is the standard settuing for text mail. It would be great if this were possible, as the white background for HTML/Rich Text Email is rather glaring when everything else is dark!
Thanks for you attention
Best Wishes
David

Re: EPIM - Dark Theme
There's no way unfortunately as this would require not just background change but also all other HTML content and this would be prone to unpredictable results.

Re: EPIM - Dark Theme
Why does EssentialPim still not have a dark theme?
A first question about this dates back years.
Many email programs have such a dark theme, so EssentialPim is well behind in that regard.
I am a paid user of the Pro version.

EPIM has had a dark theme for quite a while now.Oudje55 wrote: Wed Feb 03, 2021 6:17 pm Why does EssentialPim still not have a dark theme?

When it was added even existing users got a prompt asking which theme they would like to use.
If you don't have it, you are probably using an old version.
Main menu -> Tools -> Options ->Appearance -> Theme

Re: EPIM - Dark Theme
I held on to windows 7 for as long as I could stand to because I really liked the windows classic medium grey theme, and it was really nice that the windows classic themes applied to nearly all programs. Even EPIM could be themed to any color you wanted using classic themes.Len wrote: Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:36 am Personally I would prefer a darkish Theme, the Black is to Black.
A dark Grey would be better.
I did everything I could to protest the removal of windows classic themes form windows for a long time, and join efforts to bring it back, but the issue seems to be that not enough people actually care about real control of color. The vast majority are happy enough with White or Black.
Even myself... I can live* with black, though I can't stand white, so when everything I used had Black themes on windows 10 I finally gave up the ghost and moved to windows 10, because I wanted to upgrade my computer hardware my i7 2600k CPU was bottle necking half of everything I did.

Re: EPIM - Dark Theme
Personally I would prefer all the colours to be listed in a DarkTheme.ini and WhiteTheme.ini with the opportunity to create and use CustomDarkTheme.ini and CustomWhiteTheme.ini

i'm back here.Trinitylab wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 3:06 pmTechnically speaking, it is not.AJ wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 2:07 am Hi EPIM-Team,
white text on black backround is much better to read
One of the best, and probably most commonly used sets is a dark theme in the newest Gimp. Background has to be dark grey rather, and letters not white but kind of ivory . Or take Notepad++ with the new dark theme.
For obvious reasons.
Most probably, the best setting is bckgr RGB: 57, 57, 57 (0-255)
letters RGB: 227, 227, 227.
you are right!
Re: EPIM - Dark Theme
it was a hard pice of work to set prefered customized theme but i still have a problem with two color settings. it's on the EPIM Today window, see for that the two - in next chapter. thanx!
i have setted it directly in the system but have now unreadable on the left sidebar in epimtoday.
what's the name for these parts in windows, text color for:
- days and date above the appointments in EPIM Today?
- days of next month in the current or previous month?
these i could set right by accident:
- the menu names on the left
- month names
- days without appointments
some tasks have red text even if no setting seem to be responsible for that, no prio or category.
the text in the edit task is as setted but false red in task list.
what can be the reason?
