[BUG but big] Calendar sync with Google goes terribly wrong

Post by Trinitylab »

Hi,

EPIM newest, Pro Biz Net, Win 8.1 and Win 10 both x64.

It was the last thing which was keeping me with EPIM: hope I can manage many calendars through one DB synced with Google Calendar.
It does not work.
If this bug is not fixed I will start actively searching for a substitute, stable and more expensive than EPIM.
Simply, the number of the basic bugs, not fixed, has been increasing since 7.x version. I think I have reported less than 10% of the discovered bugs, and few of them have been fixed. Some of them, like multiplied fields in the records in Contacts, make it useless, and even dangerous for coherency of db.

Here we go with the last one I am giving EPIM a chance:
event in Calendar, based on custom template, 2-hour, repeated 15 times, weekly basis, Wednesdays;
synced with Google, both way, so far so good,
clicked on 1st event in the series, open this Appt only,
change the title of the Appt, and make some short note, saved,
synced with Google as above, so far so good, only 1st Appt has a title different than the rest,
now I move the first Appt to Tuesday,
synced like above, OK,
synced once again, and BANG, two things happen:
on Win 8.1 all the Appts in the series take the title and the content note from 1st one;
on Win 10 the old series is fine, but along with it the new series appears, having like above same title and the content inherited from 1st Appt. So I have two series. If I delete one of the Appts in any of them, both series vanish.
EPIM Pro Business Network always newest
Win 8.1 Pro 64x, C2D 2x3GHz, 16 GB RAM or Win 10 Pro, i7, 16 GB RAM.

Pics

Any edition of an event is done only to "this appointment only", never to the whole series or all appointments.

1. Created a series of 4 events, always double synced both ways with Google after operation:

2. The event #1 moved to the day before, then
synced once, everything OK,
synced once again, here we are, the moved event appears in the old time, apart of the new time:

3. The event on left, moved in #2 has a changed name to NEW test,
and is synced once, all is OK,
synced once again, here we are:
