Hello Max,
On 09-10-2018 22:24 I received your email holding :
Hello,
thank you for using EssentialPIM and being registered on EPIM forum!
We would like to let you know that EPIM 8.1 Release Candidate is now
available! It has many new features in each module.
Please feel free to download it from here:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=21581

and used this web-url to download : EssentialPIMPro81.exe

It does it's job, new start of epim and it shows the pdf item and the version 8.1 rc in help/about.

The next day, help/about shows 8.05 and the pdf facility is gone.

I have had no influence to let it install on a different place. :?

regards, Ruud

I'm having issue with the Pro 8.1RC becoming non responsive after a few minutes. It works great when I first start, but I have to open task manager and kill the task. ( it shows EssentialPIM as "not responding") I can then restart and it appears to work fine for a few minutes. Any log files I can send or hints to keep it running ?

I believe you now have 2 versions installed: 8.05 and 8.1 RC1. So which one is running depends on your shortcut. It is fine to have both versions installed and co-existing, since database can be used in both.

Thank you. We need to understand what module is causig the issue. If you just start EPIM (I suppose it starts on EPIM Today module), do nothing and wait for a few minutes- will EPIM become unresponsive as well?

Hi Max, you're right.
Always had Epim on the D-drive, but since the last Windows-10 update, Windows has decided for me that the start-up program should be on C.

And indeed, I usually start with the shortcut in the taskbar. Again Windows 10 has decided that it should be at the startup programs.
Have made the version on D unworkable, as well as the automatic start-up facility.
Can not find where Windows has the url of the automatic start.

Windows is similar to a dictator.

Sorry so late getting back to you. To answer your question, yes it crashed everytime I restarted it. It didnt matter if I went straight to using it, or if I let it sit on its own and did nothing with it. I completely uninstalled the 8.1RC. deleted the folders on the C drive, and reinstalled. I did not create any google mail or sync accounts and let it run for about 4 hours. I have added a google email and sync for one of 3 gmail accounts and have been using it for several more hours. No lockup or freezes. I will add one account per day and see how it goes.

Thanks for the quick response.
