Spontaneous Synchronizations

Post by Nurgotora »

Summary: An Android Device synchronizes without User Action

I have the following Setup
- An Android phone set to 2-way synchronization
- An Android tablet set to 1-way synchronization: Epim => Android

I regularily sync the Phone. Seldom the Tablet.

I regularily noticed that somehow the Tablet often is up-to-date, without me remembering to have initiated a sync on it. Strange.

Today I caught it at it: I had just sync'ed the Phone, when I noticed in the Sync-Task-Window (File => Synchronization => ...) that the Tablet (which was 6 Meters away from me) was sync'ing, too.

Did I miss something?

In Android EPIM please tap on Menu->Settings->PC Sync, there will be the "Auto sync" option. You can disable it if you don't wish the auto sync to take place or change the sync interval. Thanks!

Thanks for the response!

Ok, ok, I obviously did miss something on 26 June 2017. I should have RTFM :-)

PS: But why was it auto-enabled on the tablet and not in the phone? Well, never mind.

Not sure why as it should be auto-enabled by the default settings.
