Highlighting text and making it read-only.
This subject may have been brought up before but I didn't see it in a search.
Highlighting text and making it read-only like important dates, birthdays, legal transactions, or anything else that should not be changed.
And still be able to update the page like marriage, birth, promotions and education and not effect the read-only.
It seems this would be a standard feature for all word processing software.
I feel like it would be a fairly simple feature to implement.

maybe an entry next to 'contacts' and 'related entries', a popup menu with checkboxes for global check or uncheck the edition of each entry. -
you click once on the name of this list and have to click again to shrink it after choosing the checkboxes on or off, like you want/need. so the pull-down menu would stay open till 2nd click on the menu name, after setted all.
would be nice idea.

That's an interesting suggestion, thanks for sharing. Would you like this feature to be primarily focused on the Notes module or would you see value in having it available across other modules as well?
