Hide Email Avatars/Icons

In the email module, the view "layout/vertical view (in groups)" shows avatars/icons beside each email.
Is there a way to hide them (I don't want to see them)?

Currently, there is no option to hide these icons. Would you like to hide them in the email list or in the preview windows or in both locations?
