Error-free EPIM,
that is my greatest wish, as more and more old errors are being transferred to new versions. The same problems keep cropping up in the forum. Presumably, only the symptoms and not the causes are dealt with when eliminating errors.
Just some new versions without any new features “only” (!) bug fixing and decluttering.
Many thanks M&M

Re: Error-free EPIM
Your sentiment is much understood. It would help if you could name 3 or 4 of the recalcitrant errors. I do not encounter many, if any, errors, but my setup is rather basic. Thanks.
Re: Error-free EPIM
Hello DanFelix,
You only have to follow the forum and you will find that many errors appear again and again and are actually never completely eliminated. This may also be due to the constantly changing database structure as well as the queries for each new (?) Function.
I only use the version with the fewest errors, currently 11.8.4. For the existing errors, I have developed workarounds for a productive work.
Regards M&M

Re: Error-free EPIM
Hello DanFelix,
as I have already said, it is basically the errors that regularly appear in the forum. In some cases you will also find posts about the errors in my history. It would be too much work for me to list the errors here again, as previous efforts have not changed the situation. The errors keep appearing in the forum. In some cases the symptoms could be fixed in the short term, but in one of the next versions the errors then appear again - see the forum!

Re: Error-free EPIM
I can understand M&Ms wish for a error free EPIM. Its mine too. I can speak mostlly for the mailmodule, I use it many times a day. There where errors in category color something showing them, something not, coming and going in different versions- this ist gone now and fixed it seems. Many errors in displaying emails coming and going.... error reports in using EPIM (mail module). The never ending story of not correct working synchronizarion, coming and going. But there are it seems an countless possibillities on combinaitions where and how EPIM is run (Windows verions, providers, other software, firewalls, configurations...) and also countless are the possibillties how errors are occuring...
For me it seems, errors are coming and going, but it gets better, there are not as much as years ago (except synchronization). And EPIM is the single best one program which helds all my data in a single, secure, portable database.

Re: Error-free EPIM
I think the main reason I do not experience the mentioned errors is that I have not linked EPIM to Gmail or Outlook. Those programs are changed frequently and those programmers are probably indifferent to any repercussions on other PIM programs. When I review the errors mentioned I see some are actual problems with the program and EPIM seems faithful in addressing them. But some 'errors' are actually features just not available in EPIM. There is a difference. Thanks for your contribution to the conversation.
