[BUG] Problem with removing line breaks in notes

Hello,

I want to report a bug regarding line breaks in notes. This problem first occured at least 1-2 years ago but I never reported it until now:
1. I have a multi-line note and set the cursor at the end of the line i want to delete (Line 7 in image 1)
2. I delete the content of the line and the line break by pressing backspace (image 2). The cursor now sits at the end of the line above.
3. I save the note by clicking on the checkmark
4. Then, sometimes the content of the line ABOVE the one I deleted gets removed as well (Line 6 in image 3)

This does not happen every time I do this. If repeat this multiple times, the bug happens in about 50% of trials and I cannot find a difference in my procedures.

The bug was found on
EssentialPIM Pro 6.0.17
Android 14, One UI 6.1 on Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G (SM-A528B/DS)

and

EssentialPIM Pro 6.0.17
Android 14, Google Pixel 6

Hi,

I am not exactly sure what you mean. Yes, I do occasionally sync with the Windows version for backup.

But this issue occurs for notes I created in the Android app without sync.

So if I create a new note in the app, save it and then open it again and do the procedure as described, this bug occurs sometimes.

Understood, thanks for the explanation. Just wanted to be sure there's no Google or EPIM Cloud sync involved. We will attempt to reproduce the issue on our side and eventually fix it.

Okay, I don't sync with either Google or EPIM Cloud.

I just tested on a Samsung S24 with Android 14, One-UI 6.1 and Version 6.0.17 and the issue occurs as well.

I see that this bug might be difficult to reproduce. But if i create a test file with the 10 lines, save it, then remove a line, save it, remove another line, save it (and so on...), this bug happens eventually.
