Re: Network Setup
One other suggestion.
It appears the sort [arrange by] function applies to the entire database at the same time. It would be very handy to be able to ONLY sort on a Main Note affecting the sub notes.
Thanks for all your help.
Robert.

Re: Network Setup
When trying to sort notes using the Arrange By function, all notes are sorted. Is there no way to only sort sub notes under a main note?
Thanks, Robert.

Re: Network Setup
Using only a manual sorting option.

Re: Network Setup
I agree with RobertPorter2394. I use Notes to keep 'diaries', each with a prefix of a date in yyyy-mm-dd format. These entries are arranged by quarter, with the parent note something like Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4. There are too many notes to efficiently use Custom Order to move them manually.
Also, when I get them sorted on Windows 10 and sync with my android, it changes the sort order.
Most outline-oriented applications have the ability to sort the child nodes below the parent node. When I was working I used to generate reports from SQL queries which provided flexible sorting. It takes so much time to keep my child nodes sorted correctly in EPIM that I have about given up.

Re: Network Setup
Thank you for your input. We will consider adding a new feature that will allow you to apply sorting to child notes only in the new versions of EPIM.

This would be an excellent improvement for the Notes module!
