Is it OK to skip updates in order to install the newest one??

Post by bbedelman »

I currently use EPIM Pro version 11.8.4 and have not yet updated to 12. Can I install 12.0.4 directly, or do I have to install 12.0, 12.0.1... etc sequentially?

As far as I know, you can skip all versions in between. I think once I opened an quite old version (v 6.x?) db with a V10.x or 11.x, and this was no problem. The db will converted if db format is changed, that is all. And the program itself is installed as a new version. You could keep your old .ini files (make a copy and copy it back after new install) or if there are troubles just work with the new fresh .ini files- then you have to set all options again.

So Yes, you can skip versions in between.

We can confirm what a8907433 said. There is no need to install any intermediate versions before installing the latest one.
