Hello Trintylab,

Start the EssentialPIM installation file (EssentialPIM118.exe) without administrator rights (normal user).

The installation starts with the following dialog box:

install 1.png

Select the “Next” button.

In the next screen dialog window you can then select the “portable installation”
and in the following window the installation directory.

Thanks, during the 12 install there was no option to choose portable, so i installed that to another folder. Is it correct?

Nope, that's not correct. You probably installed the regular desktop version. Please refer to the M&M's post above, which demonstrates how to choose the Portable edition during installation.

Thanks, I didn't have this choice, maybe because I launched it as Win admin.

OK, so I can't/ don't know how to run it as a regular user, as the file has the icon with this admin little shield on it.
And it always launches with admin privil.
(Therefore?) no choice, portable or not.

There's no portable version included in the Business version installer. If you want to install the Portable version, you need to install from the regular EssentialPIM installation file.

It will work if it's registered with a Business license key.

As comparison, the Windows PC Manager thinks that the System Start Time is 4 Sec, so it does [edit: NOT!] appear to be a system-wide problem....

First with a new and empty database, if it works correctly then sync your existing database into the new one using EPIM Synchronizer.

Since v12.0 the 'Reply', 'Reply to All' and 'Forward´(neither the shortcut keys) in the mail module works anymore!
What's the problem?

We haven't identified the root cause yet, but we're actively looking into it.

EDIT: Please download and install the following build: https://www.essentialpim.com/download/t ... Pro120.exe. We've made an attempt to address the issue with the reply buttons in this build. Try it out and let us know how it performs. Thank you!

Nothing has changed for me with 12.0.1 (siehe Forum):

>> poor performance
>> no correct display
>> new contact module faulty
>> new contact module incomplete and confusing display
>> Error message for display problems ...

I'm sticking with 11.8.4, also to protect my data.

I have already installed v 12.0.1 and the problem remains. No response to all the 3 buttons...
