11.7.3: Differences in tags

When I select an email and right-click on Tags, I do not see all tags as I do when I go to Manage Tags via the ribbon. Sometimes almost half of the tags are missing.

Unfortunately, we are unable to fully see the tags explorer window. The issue may be because there is something entered in the Find field, causing EPIM to only display items that match the search criteria.

No, this was not the case, none of the "Search" fields were actively searched. I have just tested it with the 11.8 beta, here the "error" is the same.

What about the latest released version, 11.7.4? If the issue persists in this version as well, we would require a version of your database file that has been stripped of any important data. This would be necessary as we have been unable to reproduce the problem on our end.

Can I test here with the portable 11.7.4 or will I damage my database converted to 11.8?

You may receive a message stating that the converted database is not compatible with earlier versions of EPIM. However, EPIM always creates an additional backup of your database during the conversion process. This backup file follows the format: "filename_convert_date_time.epim.bak". You have the option to rename this backup file by removing the ".bak" extension, which will allow you to open it with EPIM 11.7.4. This way, you can always access your database using the earlier version of EPIM if needed. Thank you.

Thanks for the tip. Same behaviour on 11.7.4 and 11.8 Beta 2.

I wanted to make a part of the database available to you and delete the corresponding parts. After deleting, I noticed that some tags were no longer present on either side, so the example would no longer work.

Unfortunately, I can't send you the entire file as it is larger than 4 gb.

What you can also do is to try syncing your existing data into the new database using EPIM Synchronizer, which can be found here: https://www.essentialpim.com/features/f ... nchronizer. Then see if that solves the problem. Thanks.

Sync has worked. However, the error is still present in the new DB. Even after updating to final 11.8, the tags are different.

@admin Do you need the complete database for internal testing? If yes, how can I best make it available to you, do you have cloud storage where I can upload it? Or should I send you a link via google drive etc.?

This is probably the same problem as with the advanced search (viewtopic.php?p=132432#p132432) - queries were not adapted to the new database structure.
