desktop / android sync fails with tasks
I Had a failure to sync last night with my desktop to Samsung Tablet. Checked and had problem with phone (Moto G) as well. Didn't have time to deal with it. Sent logs from phone and tablet as per program request.
Today, restarted EPim (Windows), and it offered an update to 11.7.1. Sync still didn't work. Tried restarting epim. No help. Tried restarting tablet. No help. Tried rebooting the computer AND changing Tablet sync to calendar only. It worked. Ran the phone sync which synced everything, Failed. Changed both tablet and phone syncs to calendar and contacts only. No problem with either. So the issue is with the tasks.
Syncs are 2 way. changing to 1 way didn't help.
The other thing I've noticed is that both sync much faster. Like 10 times faster. So, something's been wrong forever. My tablet would actually always time out. I'd tell android to wait it out. Eventually (just say 20 seconds later), it would complete the sync. Of course now, with tasks checked it fails.
I've attached 2 android sync logs, one zipped and one text.
Will be glad to try anything to help.

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
It appears that there are no tasks in the logs, which suggests that they may have been excluded from the synchronization. Please include them back again, then proceed with the sync. After that, forward us the newly created log. Thank you!

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
Done. I didn't realize the log only contained a single sync attempt. Here's one from my phone that just failed with tasks included again.

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
Hi,
Can confirm problem described by Steve Shank - same issue on my end.
Including/excluding tasks in the sync settings clearly shows that Tasks are causing the problem.
Went back a few WEPIM versions till 11.6.5 but that didn't help. Version 11.5.3 is too old to open my database, so can't test that.
Please fix urgently - syncing tasks over wifi is crucial for me.
Thanks in advance!

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
Although I am not the person who opened this thread I have been experiencing similar pbs and going rather insane trying everything I can think of.
Installed the APK.
Back to normal...
You've probably already pushed that one on the stores, but how fast it gets approved by the mysterious gods of Apple and Google is another story...
Thanks!

Re: desktop / android sync fails with tasks
OK, tested it. On samsung tablet the test version worked perfectly, twice.
On the Moto G phone, It gave a lost connection error the first time, but then did the sync perfectly twice afterwards. I looked this time, and the tasks appear to include entire emails with lots of blank lines when I linked the email to a task. That could be what causes the slowdown. Anyway, I've included the android syncs even though it seems to be working, because of the single failure.
