Open email in new window with keyboard (in Vertical View)

Hi everybody,

sorry for double post this issue [1], but I am still facing the problem, that I am not able to open emails in a new window in the Vertical View layout by pressing Enter key. While I intensively use the keyboard to navigate (STRG+1, STRG+5, etc.) I have the problem, that I can't open emails in a new window when hitting the Enter key.

Only solution (so far): Switch layout to Classic and then back to Vertical. Then the Enter key is working fine again (for some time).

Does somebody else has this behavior?

Did you happen to notice when the Enter key stops working? This information would help us reproduce the issue and work towards a solution.

Happens for me (it sounds weird) when I am away from the EPIM window for 1-2 minutes (focus on another application, Firefox, Spotify, whatever). Back to EPIM and the Enter key does not work any more. (Windows 11)

Just to clarify, when you return to EPIM, there's no focus anymore? Are you unable to move between emails using the arrow keys on your keyboard, or is it just the Enter key that isn't responding normally?

I am still able to TABULAR around and moving UP and DOWN in the emails (or switch with STRG+1 to other views) but only the ENTER key does not work any more.
