When I've closed/cancelled the autoupdate-form (after nothing happend)

Well, I know I can always download version from website. Just thought it is a different procedure, that takes places, when getting auto-download. So wanted to repeat it some way.

Just had a try to download from website ... was as fast as ever.
Everything I mention comes out of my experience. I'm not an expert. Feel free to try anything I suggest ... but always at your own risk.

ablamis23, thank you for your explanation, but the error seems more like an effect rather than the cause.

poet-man, the download servers typically vary depending on your geographic location. In theory, you should be connected to the closest and fastest server for your location, so the download should have been from the same servers used for updates and regular downloads. Thank you for checking, of course!

today, the download via the update feature worked perfect and fast. Thanks. Problems seem to be solved.

Just checked download of 11.5.3
Download from website is as expected (finished within about 15 seconds with a 50 Mbit connection).
Then tried auto-update in program. It took about 8 minutes to download
