Remove local calendar?

Post by paulfb »

Is it possible to remove the local calendar, or a least hide it from any calendar view? I only use a synchronised Outlook calendar, but then every time I try and set a date it defaults to the local calendar, and I have to remember to scroll down to the one I want. It's a constant irritation. If I try to delete the local calendar it simply gets restored. If I set it as read only the program just creates another local calendar. At the very least is it possible to set my Outlook calendar as the default?

What's your EPIM version number? Once the local calendar(s) are deleted, they should not normally reappear.

Would you mind recording a short video demonstrating the problem? We have not been able to replicate the issue on our end, and seeing the problem firsthand may help us identify the cause.

Hi - short video attached - nothing sensitive on it so I'm happy to do so. I've realised it happens with a further step. If you delete the local calendar, and then try to create a new calendar entry that's when it reappears, as you'll see in the clip. I'm using the current up to date version of W11 if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the video. To prevent new calendars from being created under the Local Calendars account, you can right-click on the Birthdays calendar and select "Delete". Alternatively, you can select a calendar under the Office 365 account on the left-hand side, and new events will be created under that selected calendar.

Will the Delete option for the Birthdays calendar become available, if you add a new local calendar?
