EssentialPIM 11.5 Release Candidate

Post by admin »

Hello All,

We are thrilled to announce the availability of the next major version update of EssentialPIM, version 11.5. This is a Release Candidate version, which means there are fewer bugs than in Betas, and the final release version is just around the corner. If you would like to get a taste of the new version and its features earlier, check out the list of changes and grab the new version from the download link below (please note that if your update channel in Tools->Options->General is set to Beta, you'll be able to get the 11.5 RC1 version automatically).

Here are some of the new features included in version 11.5:
  • Quick add new tasks without opening a new dialog window (also available for sidebars)
  • Database backup to online services: Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox
  • Navigation pane can now be temporarily or permanently expanded (make sure to pin it for permanent extension)
  • New way to display recipients for email messages (drag and drop them within and between To, Cc, and Bcc fields, quicker removal, better indication of incorrect addresses)
  • Smart lists in tasks allow you to quickly get to all, important, flagged or completed tasks
  • Visual improvements for when quick search is used in any of the modules
  • Set notes as favorites by hovering the mouse cursor over them
  • Search tasks in sidebars (enable by clicking on Menu->Search)
  • Create new entries by right-clicking on the EPIM's icon on the taskbar
  • "Insert canned response" button is among the available toolbar buttons for emails now for easier interaction
You can download EssentialPIM 11.5 RC from the link below:

Please note that there are no changes to the core database structure in this new version of EPIM. This means that after opening your EPIM file with EPIM 11.5 RC, you can continue to use it in the EPIM 11.2.x series.

As always, your comments, thoughts, and bug reports are very much appreciated!
