keyboard shortcuts to mark selected tasks and appointments as completed

Post by kdgdr »

Hi,

Please add a keyboard shortcut to toggle tasks from 0 to 100% completion and vice versa. Ideally this shortcut works in task view and in calendar view (for both appointmens and tasks that show in calendar). This would allow a much more efficient completion of items.

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards.

There's the Ctrl+H shortcut for that and it can be adjusted in Options.

Hi,

Ctrl+H is to Hide/Show Completed items, but that's not what I meant.

I meant a shortcut to switch the completion of selected items from "None" to "100%" and back. Now you have to select tasks/appointments in the calendar view one by one and for each you have to right-click and select Completion > "None" or "100%" from the context menu. A keyboard shortcut would me much more efficient to switch between "None"- or "100%"-completion.

Hope that clarifies.
Kind regards.

Hi,

Unbelievable: been an EPIM user for ages but did not know that. Thanks for the tip!
Might be a good idea to add this
  • somewhere to the documentation/help?
  • to Tools > Options > General > Shortcuts?

Yes, will probably do. Earlier we considered it as a pretty much general and well known shortcut, turns out that wasn't entirely true.

Been using Spacebar since I can't remember when for checkboxes in dialog boxes and such, but I never even considered trying it for Completion in WEPIM although there 's a relation with the task checkboxes. Must have been in a coma every time I used WEPIM: is that my fault or is that a bug that can be fixed in an upcoming release? :D

As you know we need to reproduce an issue first in order to fix it. So we may probably need to bring you down here first for analysis :))
