starring items

Post by kdgdr »

Hi,

Please consider implementing a starring functionality to items, kind of like starring is available in Google contacts (and WEPIM Notes as a matter of fact). Could be a star symbol (toggle switch) for each item: star symbol on right hand side next to each task in the task module, next to each note, next to each appointment in calendar view, etc. ...
Have posted request for same functionality in AEPIM, so that star on/off can sync between WEPIM/AEPIM over wifi.

Thanks in advance.
Kind regards

What would be your use case scenario for the starred items?

Hi,

You implemented Starred Notes in WEPIM and called it "Mark as favorite".
The essence of that starring feature however is that the star allows users to retreive specific Notes more easily. So the use is broader than favorites: starred notes are not necessarily favorite/most used notes, but could be any note that a user wants to retreive easily.

As such, starring feature would be useful for any kind of item that users want to retreive easily: appointments, tasks, ...

So my use case scenario for starred items in all modules would be retreiving items more easily, like you already implemented it for Notes.

Kind regards.

Thank you, noted. So far, however, looks like there's not much interest in the suggestion from other users.
