setting up an outlook.com email with 2FA

Hello, when trying to set up an outlook.com account with 2FA in the 'Mail' module I'm told that I've supplied the wrong email address or password, and the setup doesn't proceed. But when setting up a different outlook.com account that doesn't have 2FA the process goes smoothly. Any help would be appreciated.

Please post a screenshot with the error here, so that we could understand when exactly does the error occur.

As you can see, hopefully, I get part of the way through and EPIM gives me an error message when I have definitely included the correct email and password.

You'd either need to create an app-specific password (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/acc ... f2979a7944) or use the IMAP4 (OAuth) type of authorization for the account.
