Error after update to EPIM 10.1

I updated EPIM to 10.1 this morning (coming from EPIM 10.02).
At any restart of EPIM afterwards the following error occurs.

There was an error during the execution of this program.
Click "Send" to submit the report to the developer. Please also provide any
steps necessary to reproduce the problem.

Will the error be gone after you click Ok and allow you to use EPIM normally? Will it appear each time you start EPIM?

Not answering on behalf of VolkerM but adding my two pennies:

Upgraded to EPIM 10.1 on my home PC yesterday. Same error message with different details; yes, it seems enough to click "OK" and the program seems to work fine, and yes, it shows each time I open the program.

Furthermore, I can't seem to synchronize my database (desktop to smartphone) anymore. When tapping "Synchronize" on the phone the app start searching for PC versions connected to the same network and there seem to be no PC available (of course my computer is connected to the same network). It's been happening for some time now, but until 10.1 I just needed to exit EPIM and reopen it, then scan again from the phone; this doesn't work anymore.

The same her. error on every start. clicking on "ok" is enough to work with db. You got my error-reports...

I just testet it: It occurs not on a fresh, empty database. But when opening my db- error.

Hello admin!

Two times a 'yes'.
I can work normally with EPIM after having clicked on 'Ok'.
Since the update the error message has appeared on every restart.
Btw, I sent you some error report via e-mail.

Update: optimized my database, doesn't help. Same error after restart of EPIM.

I got a pre-release (from about 4 days ago) of v10.1. I upgraded from 10.02. I don't have this start issue with my existing DB at all. Hope this helps, in case code changed from the pre-release to the official release.

Same issue here with 10.1 upgrading today. Ensured that no Essential PIM was running before I restarted the app. Closing error window seems to allow using the app. Error occurs every time I started EPIM

I posted this error in the Beta section. Why are there no more Beta testers? Why is this "Beta"-version now the offcial release, admin?
I can live with it... the error will vanish with some minor update. But nevertheless, such an error should not get over the BETA-threshold!

We'd need to get a hand of one of such database files (it could be empty), just make sure the error is reproducible. Please forward me such a DB or a download link to it via PM. Thanks!

I think, the error is IN THE DB! A new, epmty db does not produce the error. The trouble with such databases is, there are thousands of private data in it..... nobody want to give such a db foreign people.....

I had this error 3 or 4 times right after upgrading and closing EPIM down. An hour later I did an optimization on the DB and have no error when EPIM starts up. Someone else said they tried an optimize on their DB and it did not solve the issue.

Another option would be to install the EssentialPIM Free version, open your database file with it (don't worry, your data will not be affected in any way) and if there's the same Access Violation error, forward us the exception log.
