Hi Max, thanks for your reply
could you please expand on how to
copy the DB and remove all data from it?
note this is a server license, so I have a windows server with a DB server and an epim db file, but I access this (connect) from a windows client
- my personal login tells me to connect to SYSDBA on the server
- the issue happens when I try to do exactly that
Can you physically get access to the database file? If so, please create a copy of it (right click - copy), then paste it into another folder on your local PC. Open the database file locally with EPIM 9.x, then going from one module to another - select all -> delete, after that make sure to optimize the DB in File->Database Management and when this is done, forward it to me via PM here in the forum (or share the download link). Thanks!
Before I go installing and older Essential PIM.
Is there an other option
eg.
access Firebird directly through SQuirreL with SYSDBA credentials
run a sql update (the one I assume you would be running on my empty database)
wil make a backup of the database file (I can get to it, no problem)
This seems a whole lot more convenient
