Re: EPIM Pro 9.10.6 sometimes freezes and disallows Outlook to run

Yes, EPIM somehow poorly manages memory.
Freezes once awhile. Also, when left unused. PC promptly goes back (no idle never) but EPIM shows "no response".
It is since 6.x-7.x v.
Before, 5.x was all fine.
I don't use email here, naturally.

Re: Has anybody found a way to use EPIM as a Journal?

Here is something about linking: https://www.essentialpim.com/help/interlinking.htm I think once the appointments/events are cancelled in Calendar there is rather no chance to retrieve them, except restoring. If they stay in Calendar, all looks messy. However, there is another way to work with that:...

Re: Has anybody found a way to use EPIM as a Journal?

Hello,

Yes, typing @ should show you all items starting with a being typed string.

Regarding the manual, no idea. There is some somewhere.

Cheers.

Re: Has anybody found a way to use EPIM as a Journal?

Yes, but this is rather relevant to CRM use. In case of relating an event to a contact, it has been always very easy in EPIM, and recently has become even easier. New event -> in the subject start typing @first/last name of the contact, it should show you a list of fitting contacts, narrowing with e...

Re: Has anybody found a way to use EPIM as a Journal?

Agree. But as much as I don't like some bugs in EPIM, and changes since, well, 7.x, I expect here a wider perspective: it is a PIM type software. And if someone wants a journal, well, I would like to have a full CRM system out of PIM. :)))) So, there is a way to get the journal. A bit of workaround...

Re: Why you DON'T like EPIM?

We're unable to reproduce any of the issues reported. Please create a separate topic in the Support forum, will be able to look closer at each of them. Thanks. I know could not. Last year, I bought next full biz pro license, fortunately for one year only, and on Lenovo Windows notebook it was openi...

Re: Why you DON'T like EPIM?

This Ctrl+Z thing is consistent with my other observation made for years: rather poor memory management, since some v. 6+ or 7+. I use three instances (three DB on daily basis). Those unused freeze quite often, hard kill needed. When I want to drag&drop cal event I need to click the event, and H...

Re: Why you DON'T like EPIM?

Admin, unfortunately, for the unknown reasons, db does not save auto all the time. Sometimes the input data is lost without manual save.
Years back it worked well indeed.

Re: "Float" task behaviour seems odd

Thanks, please note, that there will be a possible conflict, which needs to be solved from devs side: what if same time on the next day is booked by an exclusive appointment? Usually, when setting appointments, there is a warning, and it cannot be set. How to do this, while float task is moved autom...

Re: Error while unpacking program code 5-11

Since I have had the same issue on the new PC Win 10, I will try to do that. Funny, bought additional pro license, installed with the above "unpacking" error, and regularly get 30+ sec. launching EPIM on it, so gave up, money gone, the help team does not know why it launches for so long o...

Fixed. "Float" task behaviour seems odd

Hello, The newest EPIM pro biz. There is this new "float" task, which is a good idea, in general. But this default behaviour doesn't seem to make sense: float task prolonged.JPG Here it goes: I set a 30 min. task for Wednesday, yesterday, made it show in Calendar, made it float. That means...

Re: Error while unpacking program code 5-11

I resolved my issue by starting the install over and choosing run as Administrator to install it. That worked fine without a problem at all. Since I have had the same issue on the new PC Win 10, I will try to do that. Funny, bought additional pro license, installed with the above "unpacking&qu...
