Hi Escaltz, there is a short cut key for bring up the date dialogue so you do not have to do a manual edit.
However it would be nicer if the men remained visible.

FYI: have been forced to revert to V6 Port -because of a problem with entering data in the Search bar which seems to end up editing User record ! First name in particular.
I could not figure out what i was doing but is so frustrating I gave up. I hope next version release solves that.

FYI. I have solved the problem. I had set up a proxy within EPIM so all mail goes through gmail. When I turned of the proxy, synch worked fine in all categories.
So for me - the problem is solved. Thanks to Max and others for their comments as it all helped.

Max, your reply gives me some ideas. I do have a new router so will look into this and report back.
It is entirely possible that is the problem.
So the info I need is what do I set on a router to let EPIM pass?
e.g. what communication ports does EPIM use?

Tried a completely new database - two way sync to Google.
Exact same message.
Adding Google Calender Code fails every time too.
Windows fire wall is permissioned for EPIM.
I run Avast Free AV - but with shields turned off - same result - no connection
Win8.1 64, EPIM Pro Portable.

Please keep me informed about progress on this. Also a Port Pro user.

I am with this suggestion. Years ago I had a contact manager called Tracker which unfortunately got gobbled up by ACT and thrown away. It was and the best then and would still be competitive today almost unchanged. What did it do so well? that many of it's users kept it from Win 95 until it wouldn't...

Not sure if you are still watching this thread? and maybe the wrong place.

Duplicate management is missing.

Being able to link Contacts with Calendar, Notes, Todo's is missing.
I just don't get why PIMs don't do this.
Contacts should be linkable to everything within EPIM
