Re: Feature suggestion - checkbox in note text
Oh, here's an interesting trick: In the body of your text (maybe at the end) you can add text codes that you can search on. So, for example, adding [show] at the bottom of each note you want to show will permit you to use the search tool to find "[show]" that will of course hide all the notes you ...

Re: How BIG is your database?
I use EPIM primarily for Notes, but I use the Calendar and Contacts modules a lot too. I don't bother with the e-mail client as I don't currently require it. My database is 44Meg mainly because I have thousands of pages of notes.

Re: What is your favorite EssentialPIM Feature?
Of the features listed I'd say Hyperlinking is the best one for me, though I am happy to see that you allow us the option to name other features too. So, firstly I would name reliability. have never lost any data from EPIM, not strictly a feature, but certainly an essential. Multiple trees in notes ...

Re: My wishlist for notes
Todd, you are not alone in your view of the Notes Module. Like yourself, it is this module that is most important for me too. I see that you have only recently joined, but if you have a look at past threads on this site you will see that a great many others either have notes as one of their most ...

Re: Notes Improvements: Back/Fwd,Favourites,Created/Updated
I am in strong agreemement with the originator of this thread, coohle, who in supporting his suggestion for navigating his notes, also quoted my own thread http://www.essentialpim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11819 which is on the same topic. In addition to the two of us, ypim, trollpk, rocketranch ...

Re: Can we block spam threads/posts from this site?
We remove spam within hours. The best you can do is ignore them and do not post reply to these topics.
I take your point Max and will ignore them. Perhaps new users should be prevented from starting a new thread until they have 2, 5, 10 posts etc; but that they have at least made one post in an ...

Re: Feature suggestion: date/time stamp
Might we introduce the format (example) Fr 16/11/12 15:25:35? This only requires the addition of day in 2 digit format ie Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa & Su. Thanks.

Re: Advanced Search: Improve for better processing
Absolutely.
The ability to know exactly when an EPIM item was modified would be a real boon for me.
And the quick delete/export within Advanced Search is an good idea.
I don't about anyone else, but it's in the Search Results that I realise the amount of redundant items I have.

Thank you very much vor your help.
Maybe the users vould help epim eg with ideas for tagging system or journal. epim is very user-oriented - and this is the best of this product. The development team looks what users want. That's great!

SO in the absence of making 3 choices in a descending 3, 2, 1 points way please remove my vote for Mind mapping and add a vote for fully customizable database module (with customized fields).
